Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming bout.
Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
